Dr. Julia Sopeña has joined Oman International Hospital as Consultant Pediatrics.
Over the last 16 years, Dr. Julia worked in different high-quality hospitals in Spain as a Pediatric Specialist and as a Consultant in Neonatology in high complexity neonatal units, having experience in the management of critical neonatal patients:
Care for all complicated pregnancies,Care for newborns of any gestational age, with no gestational age limit (< 28 weeks, < 1500 grams), Respiratory support: non-invasive respiratory support (CPAP, HFO), conventional mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support (high frequency oscillatory ventilation and administration of inhaled nitric oxide (INO), Therapeutic hypothermia for neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, Care of neonates requiring a full spectrum of sub-specialized pediatric medical and surgical care, such as pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, or cardiac surgery, Performance of any type of diagnostic-therapeutic technique or procedure on the newborn, Orotracheal intubation, Lumbar puncture, Central line cannulation (umbilical, femoral), Administration of inotropic drugs, sedation, parenteral nutrition, Application of therapeutic hypothermia and Monitoring of brain function.
