Oman International Hospital has 5 operating rooms equipped with the latest German technology, following the most demanding international standards and guaranteeing the best conditions for any surgical procedure, from the simplest to the most complex. For this, our surgery team, with international experience, has a strong and well-equipped support structure, from anaesthesia, sterilization, ICU, NICU, PICU, recovery, etc.

In the hybrid operating room, the automated Artis One Siemens Angiography system takes centre stage. This hybrid operating room is an advanced procedure space that combines a traditional operating room with image-guided interventional suites allowing us for highly complex and advanced surgical procedures, performed by one of our most highly skilled teams – Heart & Vascular Centre.

The Clinical Analysis Laboratory is a critical department in any healthcare facility. Rigor, objectivity and speed are some of the differentiating characteristics that Oman International Hospital has, using advanced laboratory quality management systems, and providing our healthcare professionals with the fundamental means for an objective diagnosis and adequate treatment. Microbiology, and biobank are also covered by our lab. Our main analyser allows us to manage urgent requests and its special tubes guarantee priority over ordinary requests through an automated program.

Equipped with exclusive technology from Siemens, our Biochemistry Analyzer, Immuno Analyzer, Hematology Analyzer, Hemostasis Analyzer, Urine Analyser, Blood Gas Analyzer, and HBA1C analyzer, have many automated functions to optimize uptime with on-the-fly loading for reagents, system fluids, and consumables, maximizing the number of tests per hour, reducing time for results, without compromising quality.

A highly qualified team, supported by international technicians, with the most complete and modern equipment for the diagnosis of any case, regardless of the degree of complexity, guarantees that any diagnosis is carried out in the shortest possible time, making the results available in a clear way, following the highest international standards, assuring the important role as frontline for protecting our communities’ health. The Oman Vision Centre represents one of the biggest investments made in the hospital, because it has state- of-the-art equipment, such as the robotic Ophthalmology Microscope ARTEVO 800 from ZEISS, with vast possibilities of digital imaging allowing the best angle into the view of the surgeon, without blocking the surgical field. The most advanced lasers suite available in Oman is located at Oman Vision Centre in our hospital. The SCHWIND Amaris Excimer Laser, one of the world’s highest-performance eye laser systems for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery, with the 7D eye tracking, precision and safety for laser eye surgery are guaranteed. For more advanced results in Eye procedures such as LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) and SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction), laps, FEMTO SECOND LASER Femto Z8 Neo from ZIEMER allows the laser to moves to the patient, streamlining the process and saving time in the operating room, and it’s the perfect partner for refractive, therapeutic, and cataract surgery. In LASIK, refined energy settings and optimized side cut parameters integrated into the new FEMTO Z8 NEO result in flaps with a better side cut quality.

And in Cataract, the enhanced trajectory provides a significantly faster cutting time and improved lens fragmentation efficiency. With Alcon’s full-function CONSTELLATION® Vision System CRX LST, the surgical experience in vitreoretinal ophthalmology reaches new heights of excellence. The Topography Equipment IOLMaster® 700 with SWEPT Source Biometry® from ZEISS, is a modern optical biometrics device that features central topography used for more accurate information about the shape of the cornea allowing to achieve a cataract penetration rate of over 99%.
