Dr. Prashanth Panduranga (MBBS, MD, MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edin.) is Oman International hospital’s Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Heart and Vascular Centre of Excellence.
Dr. Panduranga has vast experience in non-invasive cardiology including clinic, referral consults, CCU, TMT, Holter and Echocardiography including Transesophageal echocardiography and Dobutamine stress echocardiograms. He has broad experience in managing acute emergencies like acute coronary syndrome, acute heart failure, and cardiogenic shock. Extensive experience in performing diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention including primary PCI and complex PCI.
He is a well-known researcher in the GCC region with more than 150 publications and involved in many large registry studies such as Gulf RACE, Oman RACE, Gulf CARE, etc. He was the registry coordinator of large prospective GCC registry of acute heart failure patients. He was also steering committee member of Gulf RACE 3P ST elevation MI registry study. He is collegiate member of Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh 2011. He is a member of Oman & Gulf Heart Associations.

Dr. Panduranga has performed over 8,000 diagnostic coronary angiograms and 2500 angioplasties/stenting. He graduated from Bangalore University, India, in the year 1992. He received his post graduate medical, and fellowship training in non-invasive and Interventional cardiology in India 1992-1998. He is also trained from John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, Australia.
He is working as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at National Heart Center, Royal Hospital, Muscat for Past 8 years, Senior Clinical Lecturer for SQU MD students and Asst. Programme Director Adult Cardiology Fellowship OMSB, Muscat.
