Dr. Suleiman Al Mawali

Dr. Sulaiman Almawali, Head of the Emergency Department, has long experience in managing medical emergencies. Among the many functions performed we can mention:

• Advised and supported other non-medical staff in the ED.
• Worked with the Senior Nurse to ensure the effective operation of the department.
• Led the Trauma Team and cardiac arrest calls.
• Contributed to and promoted the patient safety agenda and was responsible for the timely handling of complaints that arise during the clinical shift.
• Collaborated with the leads for patient safety and quality.
  Prepared and delivered teaching to doctors, nurses, paramedics & medical students attached to the department.
• Taken an active part in clinical audits and other clinical governance processes.
• Taken part in daily checking of blood and x-ray results.
• Contributed to and support the hospital emergency planning, preparedness, and response work teams.
  Improved clinical practice by reviewing patient pathways and changing working practices to maintain a high standard of medical care.
• Participated in on-call duties.
• Participated in continuing medical education activity as appropriate to the specialty.
• Taken part in the hospital induction program.
• Contributed to departmental research initiatives and represent the department at national and international professional meetings when necessary.
• Developed and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues from inpatient specialties, relevant external agencies, national bodies, and networks.
