Dr. Roberto Cayon

Professor Dr Roberto Cayon joined OIH in 2021, where he is the Head of Surgery Department and the Medical Director.

As a Senior Consultant General Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience in the most reputed private institutions in Spain (Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja; Hospital Quiron Salud Madrid, even practicing in the most important Public Hospital in the North of Spain (Hospital de Cruces), but also with experience in GCC, Damman, Saudi Arabia for 2 years (Mouwasat Corporation Hospitals).

Due to his passion for General Surgery, and trying to support future generations, he was a Professor of Surgery for medical students at a Private University in Spain (European University of Madrid).

He has been trained in Europe and USA , getting his MD and PHD with honours ( cum laude) in Spain, a Master in Health Administration, and a Fellowship in (UCSF), California in one of the most important Hospitals. Also, he is a Professor Cum Laude.

His impressive background in General Surgery where he has been performing the last 25 years give him the skills to be a professional and high qualified consultant mainly in:
