Dr. Amira Nasser Al Kharusi is a highly accomplished consultant in Bariatric Medicine with a distinguished academic and clinical background, bringing exceptional expertise to Oman International Hospital. Based in Muscat, she combines advanced training in Internal Medicine with a specialized focus on obesity care and metabolic health.
Dr. Al Kharusi earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Sultan Qaboos University and pursued postdoctoral fellowships in Canada at both McGill University and the University of Ottawa. She holds multiple North American board certifications and has received extensive recognition for her clinical research and contributions to evidence-based bariatric care.
Her approach is rooted in personalized, sustainable health transformations—helping patients achieve long-term success through tailored weight loss interventions, pre- and post-surgical management for bariatric surgery , and a strong emphasis on lifestyle medicine.
