Dr. Amal Al Hashmi, Senior Consultant, Neurology.
We are proud to welcome Dr. Amal Al Hashmi – the FIRST female adult neurologist in Oman – to Oman International Hospital’s family. Dr. Al Hashmi is a Canadian Board-certified Neurologist trained at McGill University, Canada.
Dr. Amal Al Hashmi is also the Founder& President of the Oman Stroke Society and Chair Person of Accreditation Stroke programs in MENA -SINO. She has over 30 publications in the field of Neurology and currently is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Vascular and International Neurology (JVIN). She is also a trainer and examiner for both MD and Residency Programs at Sultan Qaboos University and Oman Medical Speciality Board. It should be noted that Dr. Amal served as the Deputy of the Oman Medical Speciality Board, becoming the FIRST Woman to hold this position.
